Writing Tools can be used in a variety of ways, including to proofread, rewrite, or generate text such as an abstract.

To get started, highlight the text you want to change and tap Writing Tools in the floating popover. Writing Tools are currently limited to one paragraph at a time to maintain performance during Proofread and Compose actions.

You’ll find several options in the Writing Tools menu. Proofread will correct spelling and grammar errors. Tap Replace to apply the changes, which will be temporarily underlined in blue for easy review.

Rewrite will rephrase your text in different tones, such as friendly or professional. Tap Replace to insert the new version, which will be temporarily underlined in blue for easy review.

To generate an abstract, highlight all body text, open Writing Tools, and select Compose. Then ask ChatGPT to generate an abstract. Tap the Copy button and paste the text into the Abstract section of your essay.
